Rock Solid adds product to gov’t solutions portfolio

Rock Solid Technologies Inc., a Puerto Rican software development company, recently acquired the “Virtual Kollector” software product from Knowledge Power Group Inc. that allows online government tax collections, and facilitates other transactions.
Like Rock Solid, KPG is another member from the Microsoft Partner Network in Puerto Rico. Rock Solid will integrate the newly acquired solution to its Ingresys module built over Microsoft Dynamics for public sector clients.
Virtual Kollector will enable merchants on-the-go handling of all municipal business licenses, payment of sales taxes and other collections processes, while not having to depend on the municipality’s office hours. Furthermore, Virtual Kollector provides the municipality with a central repository of information to help them manage all registered merchants’ transactions, and works as an administrative and approval mechanism for all submissions.

The Municipality of Fajardo was the first to acquire the product and will serve as an example on how technological tools can transform governments into efficient citizen service providers. With this acquisition, Rock Solid expects to increase its municipal customers’ portfolio, by satisfying the government’s need of providing more responsive services; and allowing them to embrace Cloud technology and its benefits for their constituents.
