San Patricio inaugura el Pueblo Navideño para la temporada festiva
San Patricio Plaza is opening its Mari Merry Christmas Village on Nov. 28, featuring themed cottages and animated displays, with a suggested $3 donation benefiting the Pediatric Hospital Foundation.
Now in its 10th year, the exhibit is expanding with a new Puerto Rico Village inspired by rural architecture and featuring handcrafted houses by Aguada artisan Ángel Echevarría, mall executives said.
Returning sections include the Disney Village, Amusement Park Village and an expanded International Village. In total, seven themed villages and more than 100 new houses, figures, trees and animatronics will be on display through Dec. 28.
“We want to continue taking the magic and wonder of Christmas to another level, celebrating our roots and the spirit of this season,” said Marimer Olazagasti, creator of the exhibit.
She said this year’s edition includes a collaboration with the Pediatric Emergency Medical Program to promote safe toy selection during the holidays.
“We are thrilled that this exhibit combines joy, tradition, and a message of prevention that protects and cares for our families,” she said.
Adolfo “Tito” González, president of Empresas Caparra, said the Village has become a recurring seasonal event at the mall.
“Every year we reaffirm our commitment to offering experiences that inspire unity and hope,” he said. “Mari Merry Christmas Village has become one of the most anticipated traditions at the shopping center and reflects the values we promote at San Patricio.”
The mall’s holiday programming will include concerts, dance events, pop-up markets and Santa photo opportunities. Free cellphone photos with Santa will be available with a same-day purchase of $25 or more.
