The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands district office will host on April 20-21 the entrepreneurship training course for veterans known as “Boots to Business: Reboot in San Juan.”

A two-step entrepreneurship training program open to veterans of all eras (service members, including members of the National Guard and Reserves) and their spouses, Boots to Business: Reboot adapts the curriculum from SBA’s very successful program Boots to Business: From Service to Startup.

“We’re committed to providing our service men and women with the tools and resources they need to get new businesses off the ground, explore self-employment opportunities, and continue supporting their families,” said SBA District Director Yvette T. Collazo.

“Our ‘Boots to Business: Reboot’ course will lead veterans and other members of the military community through the key steps for evaluating business concepts and developing a business plan. Also, they will be introduced to SBA resources available to access capital, technical assistance and contracting opportunities.”

SBA district office representatives will lead this two-day event, with support from its resource partners and experts from SBA’s Veteran’s Business Outreach Center in Virginia. In addition to connecting with local resource networks, participants also have an opportunity to take advantage of the counseling and training offered by SBA’s resource partner network, which includes the Women’s Business Institute and the Puerto Rico Small Business and Technology Development Center and SCORE.

“Boots to Business: Reboot” will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both days at the San Juan Industrial Park on State Road PR-1, Km. 25.1, in San Juan. To register, please click HERE. For more information, please call (787) 766-5572.
