Seaborne flights and fares are now available on the global Sabre network.

Sabre Travel Network, a global technology company serving travel agencies and suppliers, has signed a multi-year agreement with Seaborne Airlines to market its fares, schedules and inventory to Sabre-connected travel agents, the company announced Tuesday.

The full-content deal with Sabre is part of Seaborne Airlines’ growth strategy that includes selling through the agency channel, and leveraging on the Sabre global distribution system (GDS) for a global customer reach.

“We’re very pleased to have Seaborne Airlines as a new participant airline in the largest travel marketplace, the Sabre GDS, and to support their distribution strategy with innovative technology used by more than 350,000 travel agents worldwide,” said Walt Baez, regional director for Sabre in the Caribbean. “This agreement is yet another proof of Sabre’s increasing content from regional carriers for our travel agency customers.”

With this agreement Sabre will also support Seaborne Airlines’ growth through increased GDS media marketing by building awareness through promotions and campaigns via the Sabre Red Workspace used in travel agencies.

“Signing on with Sabre is a key part of Seaborne’s business plan to expand throughout the Caribbean region. Having seamless connectivity with important network airlines at San Juan, Puerto Rico plus travel agencies and corporate customers that use Sabre globally provides needed support to our growth plans,” said Seaborne Airlines President Gary Foss.

Sabre Travel Network provides technology to the travel industry. It operates the world’s largest travel marketplace, connecting travel buyers and sellers through the Sabre GDS.  Its technology connects 350,000 travel agents to more than 400 airlines, 100,000 hotels, 25 car rental brands, 50 rail providers, 14 cruise lines and other global travel suppliers. More than $100 billion of travel is purchased through this channel annually.
