Seaplane and water tours launch at Bahía Urbana
From Old San Juan, Seaplanes in Paradise will fly an amphibious Cessna 208 aircraft to destinations in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as offer charter services and narrated scenic flights.
Folks who like to dream big, explore and discover natural wonders, will now have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of unique adventures by air and by sea with Seaplanes in Paradise & San Juan Water Tours, which recently launched services from Pier 6 in Old San Juan.
This local company has joined the Bahía Urbana community after investing $3 million to provide tours to destinations across Puerto Rico, seven days a week, said Zoltan Cantillo, president of Seaplanes in Paradise and San Juan Water Tours.
By opening in Old San Juan, Seaplanes in Paradise and San Juan Water Tours will generate 10 direct and six indirect jobs. The company struck a 15-year contract and operation agreement with the government.
“We’re extremely pleased to join the Bahía Urbana community in Old San Juan, where we know we can offer an innovative service to our tourists and local residents,” said Cantillo. “At the same time, our company is here to offer luxury and first-class services that will add value to Puerto Rico as a tourism destination.”
From Old San Juan, Seaplanes in Paradise will fly an amphibious Cessna 208 aircraft to destinations in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as offer chartered services and narrated scenic flights. Also in the lineup of services are full- and half-day excursions through which passengers can plan their own adventures.
The company will work with local certified tour operators to offer the nature tours, Cantillo said.
Meanwhile, San Juan Water Tours will offer daily narrated tours of the historic San Juan bay and from destinations in Bahía Urbana. By year’s end, the company plans to add a catamaran service.
