HERE Studios, a local company lead by entrepreneur Vicente Cajigas, recently opened a new film studio at the Saint Just Industrial Park in Trujillo Alto equipped with the latest technology and facilities required by the industry.

Through a $150,000 investment, HERE Studios moved into a formerly vacant building owned by the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company with 4,500 square-feet of space that has been converted into eight different sets, company officials said.

“It’s a dream come true to have a space with everything needed for a film studio, new technology, comfort and that our customers can have all the facilities they need in one place, creating jobs to help develop the economy through a purely Puerto Rican business,” Cajigas said.

The studio’s specs include: a 30-ton air conditioning system, Puerto Rico’s largest clicorama, “camlock” connections, a 60-foot black wall, a 20-foot green screen, walls with a variety of 10’ by 20’ muslin backgrounds, and a cobblestone floor terrace for outdoor scenes. There is also a makeup area, a 600 gallon water tank, a power plant, a vehicle access ramp, a storage container, a meeting room with audio insulated walls, wi-fi, and 12 security cameras 24/7.

“We want producers in Puerto Rico and abroad to have an accessible and comfortable facility to film ads, movies, series and programs of any kind in the market at affordable prices,” he said.
