The Puerto Rico Products Association announced the return for a second year of “Hecho en Puerto Rico: La Tienda,” a retail space showcasing hundreds of locally made products and services.

The store will be open Dec. 9-24, according to the mall’s schedule of operations, at the space formerly occupied by Borders on the mall’s first level.

“The massive public support during the first edition of ‘La Tienda’ last April was the main reason to consider giving people the option to reopen the store at Christmas time,” said Association President Ramón Pérez-Blanco.

“It will be a different alternative for consumers and a way promote the variety, creativity and deals that our partners have through products and services made in Puerto Rico,” he said.

This space will feature the participation of more than 100 products and services exclusively made in Puerto Rico that the public can find and buy in one place.

The offer will be even greater than it was in its launch phase, the Association said, as this time, the offer will include a wide variety of food and beverages, household cleaning, personal care, home and home construction products, among others.

“Reopening ‘La Tienda’ in the framework of the holidays will be another opportunity for people to see the other positive value with our products and services made in Puerto Rico,” said Marilu Otero, executive vice president of the Association.

“They will witness how products of the highest quality are made in Puerto Rico and will find real options for making our favorite dishes and gifts for family and friends at Christmas, which at the same time will serve as a way to promote what is done here among more people,” she said.
