Puerto Rican software development company, Rock Solid Technologies Inc., has for the first time ranked in the annual Inc. 5000 listing, taking spot 4,805 among the nation’s fastest-growing private companies.
The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy-America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000 list.
“This recognition by Inc. is proof of our company’s maturity, growth, and ability to capitalize on our business opportunities while continuing to make a real difference in our country,” said Rick Brown, president of Rock Solid.
For the past five years, despite the rough local economy, Rock Solid has demonstrated a sustainable growth and solidity through the export of human capital, products, and services to serve customers in the Latin American and English Caribbean region, company officials said, adding the company has registered a three-year sales growth of 49 percent.
“This is another victory for Puerto Rico. We are very thankful for all the contributions of our staff and by making this achievement our own,” said Ángel L. Pérez, vice president of Rock Solid.
The 2015 Inc. 5000, unveiled online at Inc.com and featuring the top 500 companies in the September issue of Inc. “is the most competitive crop in the list’s history,” the company said.
Rock Solid is an information systems development and consulting company based in San Juan, with a satellite office in Texas. Since 1994, the company has closely aligned its efforts with Microsoft and has distinguished itself by developing business solutions meeting the specific organizational needs of its public and private sector customers in the Caribbean, US, and Latin America. Today, Rock Solid has more than 100 employees serving its customers in more than ten countries.
