Ford dealership association, Antique Cars Fair donate $15K to Hogar Cuna San Cristobal

Waldo Galán, regional director Ford International Business Development congratulates Ford Fiesta Winner Ginette Escabí.

The Ford Dealership Association and the Antique Cars Fair donated $15,000 to Hogar Cuna San Cristobal, representing the proceeds of a raffle of a Ford Fiesta during the event held last weekend.

Hogar Cuna San Cristobal in Caguas temporarily houses children for adoption, from newborns to 7-year-olds. Meanwhile, Ginette Escabí, was the lucky winner of the new vehicle.

“Ford has a strong commitment with the community of which we are part of,” said Waldo Galán, Ford International Business Development managing director for the Central America and Caribbean region. “The Ford Dealership Association is once again committed with people in need. Hogar Cuna San Cristobal may continue with its mission of housing children in need of adoption; and that is another step we take to improve the quality of life on the island.”

This initiative is part of the Ford dealerships’ program “Support the Community” through which it has destined more than $65,000 since 2011 to support diverse community initiatives and charity organizations in Puerto Rico. The money goes toward supporting health and education programs.
