American Express Global Corporate Payments announced the opening of its new office for its corporate card business line for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean at Metro Office Park in Guaynabo.

“American Express is committed to providing products strategically designed to provide greater financial flexibility, cost control and cash flow for businesses,” said Susan Chapman, senior vice president of Global Corporate Payments, American Express.

As part of establishing its local presence, the credit company offered suggestions on products that are suited for the business segment, namely its corporate purchasing card, designed to “simplify the purchasing and billing process,” said Sonia Rodríguez, regional director of global dollar card.

She added that the product “is perfect because it gives companies a centralized expense management tool ideal to cover recurring and seasonal payments.”

“The corporate purchasing card also provides convenient electronic reports for greater negotiating power with suppliers as well as dedicated support 24/7,” said Rodríguez.

The corporate department has a group of professional executives engaged in assisting companies with corporate card products in the development of their accounts.

Are the financial products they will handle out of their new offices exactly the same as on the mainland, or are they non-domestic US products?
