The new spacious, sporty and stylized Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 model will be hitting Puerto Rican roads, bringing its innovative features to the market at a price starting at $39,000.

The four-door coupe features high-end trims and new Mercedes-Benz technologies, such as a redesigned 208 horsepower, turbo inline engine, which provides for achieving zero-to-60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Drivers can choose among three driving modes — Eco, Sport and Manual — with the option to control pedals right on the steering wheel, for greater efficiency.

“We were looking forward to the arrival of the CLA because we know it will become the favorite model of the young professional looking for quality and value for money, without sacrificing the elements that characterize a luxury car,” said Carlos Rafael Quiñones, general manager of Garage Isla Verde, which imports the vehicles. “It’s fun to drive, efficient use, has all the gadgets that this client looks for and, of course, is backed by the best service in the industry.”

To introduce this vehicle to the local market, Garage Isla Verde will launch an advertising push, investing $500,000 in the multi-media effort. In January 2014, the company will add the CLA45 AMG model to its lineup, company officials said.

The CLA joins a variety of other Mercedes-Benz models that have undergone major redesigns and have boosted Garage Isla Verde’s bottom line. During the third quarter of this year, the company reported a boost in sales and the arrival of this new model is expected to increase that volume further, company officials said.
