DDB lands Coca-Cola, Open Mobile clients, nabs awards
DDB Latina Puerto Rico/EJE Sociedad Publicitaria recently added the Coca-Cola brand as well as Open Mobile to its roster of clients, after competing successfully for both clients, the agency announced Tuesday.
“After a pitch in which several of the leading local agencies participated, DDB/EJE was chosen to manage Coca-Cola’s creative, planning, media, digital and public relations, and will offer services to other brands of Coca-Cola refreshments’ portfolio,” the agency said.
“In DDB/EJE we found our ideal partner: capable of creating transcendent ideas, like the ones that distinguish our brand; with a complete understanding of consumers and a heightened sense of client service, with a passionate and dynamic character,” said Laura M. García, Coca-Cola Puerto Rico marketing director.
DDB Latina also recently landed Open Mobile, one of five local wireless providers.
“DDB has shown its power to transform brands and communicate effectively what distinguishes us in the industry. Its effectiveness, discipline and service are key to the impact we need to achieve on our consumers,” said Juan Saca, Open Mobile’s CEO.
Aside from adding new clients, DDB has also recently garnered numerous industry awards, both off and on-island. The agency grabbed a total of 24 medals (10 Gold, 4 Silver and 10 Bronze) during the most recent edition of the Cúspide Festival, as well as a “Gran Cúspide” for “The Last Meal” campaign created to support Amnesty International’s position against the death penalty in Puerto Rico.
Globally, the agency received awards at the Wave Festival, which took place at the beginning of this month in Brazil, while “The Last Meal” became DDB Latina’s first work to be included in “Epica,” a compilation of the world’s best creative works that have been selected by renowned journalists from 34 countries.
