16 nonprofits to split $258K from Reliable Foundation

reliableautoReliable Auto held its 12th annual golf tournament, raising $258,000 that were donated by the Reliable Foundation to 16 Puerto Rico nonprofit organizations that work with children, homeless people and pressing social needs.

Benefited institutions include: Boys and Girls Club, Jóvenes de Puerto Rico en Riesgo, Down Syndrome Foundation, Hogar Cuna San Cristobal, Hogar Niñito Jesús, Puerto Rico Food Bank, Alliance for a Puerto Rico without Drugs, American Red Cross, Children’s Hospital, MDA, St. Jude, Amanece para los hermanos sin techo, Child Foundation, Ricky Martin Foundation and JJ Barea Foundation.

The tournament held at the Wyndham Río Mar Resort in Río Grande, drew participation from 293 entrepreneurs and golf enthusiasts who came out to support the company’s community work. In addition, it counted on the collaboration of many sponsors, including MAPFRE, First Warranty services, Triangle Dealers, Ford and Gómez Hermanos Kennedy.

“In Reliable Foundation we’re extremely grateful for our sponsors, clients and friends who helped us achieve this significant fundraising in spite of challenging economic times. Thanks to them we strengthen our mission to improve the quality of life of the most needy in our society,” said José Arbona, CEO of Reliable Financial Services.
