Red Mango to offer vegan juices in Puerto Rico menu

Frozen yogurt franchise chain Red Mango, which is gearing up to open five stores in Puerto Rico, announced Thursday it will be featuring items on its menu that are 500 calories or less and a large selection of vegan squeezed juices.
“Consumers today live busy lives and these juices are healthy replacement meals with all the nutrition needed,” said Mario Alverio Dominguez, CEO of Good for You Franchise, the firm responsible for bringing Red Mango to Puerto Rico.
Red Mango juices will include 31 options in seven categories: Daily Detox, Super Foods, Easy Greens, Power Ups, Simply Juice, Sweet Beets and Power Shots. All of the drinks fit into the menu of those pursuing detoxification diets.
“Every day people are looking for healthy food options, but sometimes they are not as accessible as junk food. Incorporating a nutritious menu, Red Mango will provide an alternative that encourages a healthy lifestyle, emphasizing the juicing trend that has been increasing throughout the world for its extensive health benefits,” said Alverio.
The first Red Mango restaurant will open in in the next few weeks at the Puerto Rico Plaza and will include drive-thru service as well as a modern restaurant.
The café menu features fresh squeezed juices, salads, wraps, flatbreads, coffee and iced tea with probiotics. Red Mango will also offer 13 different flavors of fruit smoothies. Each of these products is made with high quality ingredients.
