Oriental donates sneakers to residents of Casa Manuel Fernández Juncos shelter

Oriental’s public relation specialist Cristina Robles, hands over the bank’s donations to Father Manuel Santos Díaz, deputy director of the boys’ shelter.

As part as its commitment to support nonprofit organizations that help those in need, Oriental recently donated new sneakers to boys living at Casa Manuel Fernández Juncos.

The donation is part of its commercial banking campaign, which presents a tennis shoe as a symbol of the agility with which Oriental deals with commercial services.

“Casa Manuel Fernández Juncos is an example of devotion to battered children, who find there a chance to a better life. We are confident that this donation will make possible that these boys have all they need to get back to school, including a good pair of tennis shoes,” Oriental President said José Rafael Fernández, who is also vice-chairman of the Board.

Casa Manuel Fernández Juncos provides shelter to boys eight to 18 years old. Most of them have been removed from their homes due to physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse.
