With prolonged and recurrent stays, the guests of Hyatt House San Juan, located at the Convention Center District in Miramar, have propel the propert to surpass its first-year expectations, Francisco Mariani, manager of Hyatt Puerto Rico said.

The opening of the Hyatt House San Juan in October 2014, introduced the tourist market to the first and only hotel, with a select style, that offers deals in extended-stay in Puerto Rico.

At the same time, the boutique hotel was key in restoring the development tourism in the Convention Center District, hotel officials said.

“Because of its strategic location and easy access to various parts of the capital it has become the second home for business travelers in long-term assignments, people relocating to Puerto Rico, coordinators of conventions and events with their work teams, government staff members, as well as patients and family of medical tourism, or families visiting friends on the island,” Mariani said.

“While we commemorate our first anniversary we are celebrating that we have become the place our guest remember for our elite service, which is what makes them come back, and then recommend us so others will come and visit,” he said.

“Our clients loyalty and the great acceptance this property has had, has made us surpass the sales expectations we had traced, and throughout our first year in the market we’ve had a full house,” he added.

The hotel’s concept allows guests to feel at home, while they have the chance to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

“Some of our current guests have stayed here from day one, while others have stayed more than 100 nights in a one year period.  This confirms that the service to our clients, our rooms and facilities guarantee a unique experience, which is ideal for those who seek a prolonged stay,” Mariani said.

The 126-room, six-floor property located on 2.2 acres of land, was built at a cost of $28.7 million and developed by PRISA Group, McConnell Valdés Consulting and the Hotel Development Corporation, with funding from the Bank of Puerto Rico and the Fund for the Development of Puerto Rico, a subsidiary of the Government Development Bank. The facility offers 110 parking spaces for guests and visitors.
