The staff of technology firm Nagnoi recently joined the “Uniendo Cabezas por los Niños del CAP,” shaving their heads for charity. The goal was to help the organization exceed its goal of raising $50,000 for pediatric cancer patients.

The company contributed $100 per employee who voluntarily decided to shave their head during the activity, donating some $3,000 in total.

With the money raised, the Medical Center Children’s Hospital can have access to the most advanced equipment to treat childhood cancer. That way, children do not have to leave Puerto Rico to seek access to the best treatment available.

The oncology department at the Children’s Hospital serves 65 percent of the island’s pediatric cancer patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

“At Nagnoi, we care greatly about the community we live in, especially when it is for the welfare of our children. It really has been a wonderful experience. I thank all the Nagnoi colleagues who joined this noble cause with great enthusiasm,” said Nagnoi Founder Miguel A. Colom-Mena.
