Puerto Rico has a new social networking space with new and up-to-date information about festivals, gastronomic events and entertainment in general with the official launch of Tums’ new Facebook page for the island market:.
The new Tum’s page seeks to provide specific content on the most important social events for those who enjoy good food and want to savor life to the fullest, in keeping with its slogan in Spanish “Saboreate la vida con Tums.”
“Food is part of our Puerto Rican culture and just in time to coincide with the holiday season, we launched our Facebook page where our fans can immediately access information about what is happening and where it is happening.” said Christine Torres, marketing manager for Glaxo SmithKline, maker of Tums.
The new Facebook page reflects the evolution of the brand according to technology and immediacy of social networking, she said.
“Our fans can also find a calendar of events, pictures and videos of events, as well as important information about heartburn. They can also share their experiences, places and favorite dishes with other members,” said Torres, adding that Tums has created a series of characters who represent the foods Puerto Ricans love the most: Empa Nadilla, Alca Purria and Bacal Aito to enhance the social space.
Tums fights heartburn immediately, neutralizing acid quickly, so people can enjoy their favorite foods without problems. Tums is available in a variety of packages, among which are individual rolls, as well as 48- and 96- unit flavored tropical fruit tablets.
