Quest Diagnostics opens new clinical lab in Guaynabo

Quest Diagnostics, a provider of diagnostic information services, announced its expansion in Puerto Rico with the opening of a new 2,500 square-foot clinical laboratory in Maramar Plaza Guaynabo.

The new laboratory, which entailed a $300,000 investment, performs a wide menu of medical tests that help in the diagnosis and detection of health conditions, measure progress or recovery of a condition or confirm that a patient is free of disease.

Diagnostic tests performed at this new facility include: Influenza A and B, glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, CBC, pap, among many others. In addition genetic, serological and pregnancy tests are performed. Test results may be available via email, and some results may be ready in an hour.

“Our commitment for more than 20 years has been to provide the highest quality and best service to patients, while using the most reliable technology to deliver fast and accurate diagnostic information,” said Hari Sabnani, managing director for Quest Diagnostics in Puerto Rico.

“We’re excited to enhance the service we provide to the Puerto Rican community with the opening of this new facility,” he said, of the lab that created six new jobs.

The Quest Diagnostics clinical laboratory in Maramar is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
