Santander looks to reward student business innovation

Banco Santander Puerto Rico, through its Santander Universidades global division, is banking on the creativity and entrepreneurial ingenuity of students from the island’s academic institutions for the third edition of the Santander Award for Business Innovation.
This award recognizes students who submit a competitive business plan that stands out for its uniqueness, creativity, project viability, growth potential and good image. The awards will range from $1,500 to $10,000.
“We want to highlight the efforts of students who are working on the development of their business plan or have presented a business plan to provide products and services to customers,” said Rafael Vélez-Palmer, director of Santander Universidades in Puerto Rico.
“This is another project through which we contribute to Puerto Rico’s economic development while promoting the development and entrepreneurial talent of the island’s college students,” he said.
Those interested in participating in this competition may submit their business plans through Dec. 13 via www.universia.pr.
