Seaborne is spreading its wings throughout the Caribbean.

Seaborne is spreading its wings throughout the Caribbean.

Seaborne Airlines last week debuted its new service from San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport to La Romana International Airport the Dominican Republic. Seaborne’s new route represents the only direct non-stop flight between the two destinations.

Currently operating Thursday and Sunday, Seaborne will offer daily service starting March 15, 2014. La Romana is one of the most popular destinations in the world, counting among its attractions the famous Altos de Chavón complex, a recreation of a medieval European village. It is also a golfer’s dream destination with two major greens, including Teeth of Dog and Dye Fore.

Fares start at $129 one-way with taxes included.

“We’re pleased to announce that we have successfully started our new San Juan-La Romana route. This is Seaborne’s first foray into the Dominican Republic. We look forward to expanding to other cities there soon,” said Seaborne President Gary Foss.

Seaborne also recently announced new service between LMM and St Kitt’s Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport, with continuous service to Nevis’ Vance W. Amory International Airport, starting Jan. 15th, 2014.
