American Cut Bar & Grill and BRIO Tuscan Grille are among the eight new shopping and dining options that will debut before the end of this year — seven of which are exclusive to the market — at The Mall of San Juan.
The lineup also includes restaurant Il Nuovo Mercato, shoe retailer Stuart Weitzman, Swatch, and a trio of stores — Aveda, Daniel Espinosa Jewelry, and Free People — which have already opened. More than 20 additional stores and restaurants are scheduled to open in 2016, mall officials said.
“We’re bringing a taste of New York, Tuscany and Florence to the island with the addition of three new dining experiences,” said Marnie Marquina, marketing and sponsorship director, The Mall of San Juan. “These restaurants are unique to Puerto Rico and join several new stores that will offer distinctive holiday fashions and gifts for the entire family.”
BRIO, slated to open next week, will be located in the first floor on the mall’s North entrance, occupying 8,000 square feet of space. It will have the capacity of 250 guests to seat in the different areas such as the main dining room, bar, private room and terrace. The new restaurant will create 140 jobs.
“BRIO Tuscan Grille delivers the ambiance, design elements and food quality reminiscent of fine dining restaurants at a value typically offered by casual dining establishments, a combination known as the upscale affordable dining segment,” said Julio Canales, partner of BRIO Tuscan Grille in San Juan.
“Our brand provides its guests with a fine dining experience and value by serving affordable cuisine prepared using fresh flavorful ingredients and authentic Italian cooking methods, combined with attentive service in an attractive, lively atmosphere,” he said
BRIO will offers, lunch, dinner and Kid’s menu.
