Participating suppliers gave Sam’s Club Puerto Rico the best scores on this survey.

For the fourth consecutive year, Sam’s Club received the highest average on the evaluations made by a group of suppliers of food and mass-market consumer goods sold at supermarkets, pharmacies, warehouses and membership clubs in Puerto Rico. It again placed Sam’s Club at the top of the list among the evaluated retailers, based on the overall average of all evaluated practices.

According to the Advantage Mirror Report 2013 carried out on the island, participating suppliers gave Sam’s Club Puerto Rico the best scores on this survey, whose main objective is to measure various indicators in the relationship between clients and their respective suppliers, to help them improve their businesses’ performance.

“Our programs have become the standard assessments for business relationships, especially in mass-market consumer goods, such as food, home and personal care in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia,” said Yanina Lebrón Cristy, director and spokesperson for The Advantage Group International in Puerto Rico, upon unveiling the results of the study.

Meanwhile, Carmen Kingston, Sam’s Club Puerto Rico’s regional general manager, said she felt “proud and thankful for the evaluation given by the community of suppliers to the membership club.”

“We thank our suppliers for acknowledging the effort that makes us a strategic leader in the market. This result also confirms our dedication and commitment to our suppliers and strengthens our business relationships to mutual benefit,” Kingston said.
