Puerto Rico’s car dealers sold 7,209 new vehicles in August, representing a 5.9 percent year-over-year growth, the United Group of Automobile Importers said.
The United Group of Automobile Importers, known as GUIA, revealed Tuesday that some 7,162 new vehicles were sold in Puerto Rico in March, representing a year-over-year growth of 7.2 percent.
The United Group of Automobile Importers, an organization that represents the Puerto Rico automobile industry, predicted Tuesday that this some 77,000 new cars will be sold this year on the island, marking the third consecutive year of decreased activity.
