The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan announced Thursday it has been officially certified as a “Green Hotel” by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, the government agency responsible for tourism regulations and green lodging sponsored programs dedicated to the Caribbean.
More than 70 volunteers in San Juan took part in the 10th annual Global Community Day, held by Citi, joining more than 75,000 participants in 487 cities spanning 93 countries and territories who engaged in service activities to benefit their local communities.
Gov. Alejandro García-Padilla on Wednesday toured the San Juan port zone where marine cargo company Sea Star Line will invest $400 million to integrate two new cargo ships into its service and make terminal improvement to accommodate increased activity.
