Gov. Ricardo Rosselló confirmed that the highest figure was established in 2016 with 519,751 passengers and an economic impact of $57.7 million for the region.
This will be the low-cost carrier’s third announcement of added flights and destinations in the past week.
Starting Oct. 4, 2018, Spirit will begin offering international service from Orlando International Airport to 11 new destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, including daily flights to the Rafael Hernández International Airport in Aguadilla.
