Ticketpop, the largest electronic ticket processor in Puerto Rico, operated by Evertec, announced Tuesday the launch of its new mobile application through which consumers will be able to obtain official event information and purchase tickets through their mobile phones.
The app, which can be downloaded for free through the App Store and Google Play, offers advantages such as exclusive access to events, pre-sales alerts, promotions and notifications.
In addition, it will soon include its rewards program that will allow users to accumulate points for rewards, company executives said.
“This new Ticketpop service gives consumers immediate access to information on events held on the island,” said Cindy Cabrera, director of the Ticketpop service launched in 2002.
“By providing this service through the mobile application, we expand the way we promote events and consumer engagement by offering direct messages to their cell phones,” she said.
Cabrera also announced the revamping of Ticketpop’s web page, which now features a mobile responsive design that will allow users to view it across multiple devices.
Ticketpop manages and sells an average of 350 events a year, including concerts, sports, theater and family-oriented activities. Its web page receives more than 250,000 monthly visits.
