U.S. Hispanic Women’s CofC to hold convention in P.R.

Miami-based United States Hispanic Women Chamber of Commerce will expand its reach to Puerto Rico later this year, when it holds its “Connecting Women, Empowering Minds” convention on the island, event organizers said this week.

The USHWCC was created to promote the growth and economic development of Hispanic women throughout the U.S. and to encourage entrepreneurship among on the U.S. mainland and Puerto Rico.

The convention is expected to bring to San Juan hundreds of professional women from all over the U.S. who will convene at the end of the year.

As part of the efforts to create a strong presence on the island, the USHWCC has partnered with San Juan-based communications firm A&O Solutions.

“We’re very pleased with this strategic alliance and to be able to provide women in Puerto Rico with the same tools that we offer every businesswomen in other jurisdictions of the U.S.,” said USHWCC President Lilliam López.
