United marks 15 years of Aguadilla-NY/Newark route
United Airlines is celebrating 15 years of service on the Aguadilla-New York/Newark route. The airline operates daily flights between the Rafael Hernández International Airport in Aguadilla and its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport, with onward connections to cities throughout the Americas and around the world.
United began serving the Aguadilla-New York/Newark route in 2000 with daily flights using Boeing 737 New Generation aircraft, being the first airline to introduce this modern, fuel-efficient and eco-friendly aircraft to the Island.
“We are very happy to celebrate this milestone anniversary of Aguadilla-New York/Newark service,” said Millie Uriarte, United’s director of sales for Latin America and the Caribbean. “We are grateful to our customers and the travel industry in Puerto Rico, who have made United their preferred airline over all these years.”
To mark the occasion, United organized an appreciation ceremony for its customers, by giving passengers departing on the flight to New York/Newark homemade cookies for trip.
United began operations in Puerto Rico in 1991.
