Lifestyle and fashion apparel retailer Urban Outfitters Inc. will be opening its first store in Puerto Rico in September at The Mall of San Juan, this media outlet has learned.

While mall officials would not comment on the chain’s fall arrival, Liz Witty-Freet, field talent manager for Urban Outfitters, confirmed the date.

Urban Outfitters joins Anthropologie and Free People — which also belong to Urban Outfitters Inc. — and are already present at The Mall of San Juan. Founded in 1970 in Pennsylvania, Urban Outfitters now operates more than 200 stores in the U.S. mainalnd, Canada and Europe, offering experiential retail environments and a mix of women’s, men’s, accessories and home product assortments.

Upon disclosing its latest financials, Urban Outfitters confirmed net sales of $1 billion during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016, a figure that remained flat year-over-year. For the year ended January 31, 2016, total company net sales increased to $3.4 billion or 4 percent over the prior year.
