AGC announces 43rd annual convention Aug. 25-28

The Puerto Rico Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America Chapter (AGC-PR) will host its 43rd annual convention and Expo Construcción at the Wyndham Hotel in Rio Mar Aug. 25-28, the trade group announced.

The convention’s agenda of activities focuses on presenting compelling and viable alternatives to promote economic activity, construction of infrastructure and job creation in the construction industry in the short, medium and long term.

Given that it is an elections year, AGC-PR will hold two forums featuring the candidates for the positions of Puerto Rico governor and Resident Commissioner. The AGC-PR will also recognize the contribution and the footprint of the Jose R. Vizcarrondo, president of Desarrollos Metropolitanos and recipient of the 2016 Alejandro S. Herrero Award.

“We call on all general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers of products and services in the construction industry to join to us in the construction of a new Puerto Rico for the future of our children and the new generations that are coming up,” said Neyssa Varela, President of AGC-PR.

The AGC-PR Convention is the main meeting of the construction industry in Puerto Rico and largest exhibition of products and services specially directed to satisfy needs of the construction sector. Founded in 1963, AGC-PR is the leading voice of the construction industry in Puerto Rico with 300 members, including: contractors, subcontractors and suppliers of materials and construction services.
