Arecibo Home Design invests $7M in new Toa Baja showroom
Arecibo Home Design has opened what it describes as the largest bathroom and fixtures showroom in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, following a $7 million investment in new stores and facilities.
Located on Highway 2 in Toa Baja, the 13,000-square-foot showroom features more than 130 bathroom furniture models and exclusive product lines, including AHD’s Nicolás collection and luxury brands. Customers can explore design options and receive assistance from in-house specialists.
“This opening is not just the addition of a store, it is a reaffirmation of our commitment to growth in Puerto Rico and to offering the best to our communities,” said Itsan Hernández, owner of AHD. “By integrating hardware, design, luxury and a world-class selection of appliances into our largest store, we are simplifying the process of building or remodeling.”
The expansion coincides with the company’s 10th anniversary. Founded in 2015, AHD began as the Arecibo Home Center hardware store and has since grown into a home design retailer with seven showrooms across the island — in Caguas, Arecibo, Isabela, Mayagüez, Plaza Las Américas, Camuy and now Toa Baja.
Earlier in November, AHD opened another showroom at Plaza Las Américas in partnership with TuPlanta PR, creating 80 new jobs.
The company also holds exclusive distribution rights for ROCA Tiles in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, with additional ROCA stores opening in Arecibo, Isabela, Caguas and Santo Domingo. A combined ROCA Tiles and ROCA Sanitary Ware store is planned for Toa Baja in 2026.
