ASG opens RFP for management of public documents

ASG Administrator Karla Mercado-Rivera announced the request for proposals for managing, storing and disposing of government records.

The Puerto Rico General Services Administration (ASG, in Spanish) has opened a request for proposals for the management, storage and disposition of documents from government entities, exempt agencies and municipalities across the island.

The initiative seeks to create an “agile, secure and efficient system” for handling public records, while meeting information management standards, the ASG said. Administrator Karla Mercado-Rivera added that the process reaffirms the agency’s commitment to transparency and responsible use of funds.

“The ASG works to ensure that each process is carried out transparently, ensuring equal opportunities for all applicants who meet the established requirements,” Mercado-Rivera said.

The mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 10, at 10:30 a.m. Requests for clarification must be submitted by Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. Proposals are due Oct. 21 at 10 a.m., with the opening ceremony to follow at 1:30 p.m.

Bidders must file proposals in person at the ASG Auction Board Office — located in the Minillas Government Center, North Tower, 12th Floor, San Juan — and electronically through the agency’s portal. Proposals not meeting both requirements will be disqualified, the agency said.
