AtkinsRéalis Caribe expands Guaynabo office operations
AtkinsRéalis Caribe has expanded its office at Metro Office Park in Guaynabo, underscoring the firm’s long presence in Puerto Rico and its role in public infrastructure work across the island.
The company, which has operated in Puerto Rico for more than 30 years, employs over 100 professionals and has completed projects in all 78 municipalities. It reports that about 90% of its business comes from repeat clients, reflecting long-term partnerships with public and private entities.
The expansion was marked by an open house that included guided tours, project exhibits and discussions with clients, partners and local officials.
“This expansion marks an exciting milestone for our team and reinforces our long-term investment in Puerto Rico,” said Ray Martínez, operations director of AtkinsRéalis Caribe. “We’re proud to grow alongside the communities we serve and to strengthen our ability to deliver projects that support the island’s future.”
AtkinsRéalis Caribe’s work spans transportation, housing and energy. The company has led preconstruction and design oversight for Highways and Transportation Authority projects, hazard mitigation planning for the Puerto Rico Planning Board and recovery planning for the Housing Department’s Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery program. It has also managed emergency repair efforts at more than 70 sites following recent hurricanes.
The firm provides infrastructure design services for Puerto Rico’s power grid through LUMA Energy, the private operator acting as agent for the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority.
