The Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association wrapped up its recent annual convention with a luncheon in which it announced this year’s winners of its excellence in tourism awards.
Pan-American Life Insurance Company of Puerto Rico, a member of Pan-American Life Insurance Group, a provider of insurance and financial services throughout the Americas, announced the introduction of PanaMed, a new limited benefit indemnity product.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has awarded $120,000 to Puerto Rico’s Desarrollo Integral del Sur Inc. to help it identify sources of air pollution in the Tallaboa-Encarnación community. The community is located in an industrial area of where there are a number of petrochemical businesses. The project is called "Pulmones Saludables, Ahora!" (“Healthy Lungs, Now!”)
