P.R. Restaurant Association raises red flag over recent eatery closings

The Puerto Rico Restaurant Association expressed concern Tuesday to the closure of several restaurants in the past few weeks and urged government action to prevent further losses for the industry that could adversely affect the island’s economic development.

Labor Dept. outlines ‘green jobs’ profile

Given the existing need to raise awareness about developing a sustainable economy and to encourage the creation of “green” jobs on the island, Labor Secretary Miguel Romero outlined Tuesday the island’s so-called green sector job profile to identify industries and work opportunities in that area.
