Representatives from more than a dozen labor unions and the private sector met with Resident Commissioner Pedro Pierluisi Thursday to outline strategies to defend the Puerto Rico Investment Promotion Act and the American Jobs Act, both of which they claim could spur economic development for the island.
The Puerto Rico Tourism Company unveiled its promotions, marketing and public relations plans for the 2011-12 tourism season during a presentation Thursday before members of the Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association.
BBVA Auto, one of the island’s largest vehicle financing firms, will be participating during this weekend’s “The Sale” event, Sept. 29-Oct. 3, at 12 dealerships throughout the island where more than 2,000 new and used cars will be available for sale.
