Boost customers have until Dec. 31 to transfer to Liberty
Boost Mobile customers in Puerto Rico who have not yet transferred their wireless service have until Dec. 31 to do so, as the carrier will stop operating on the island at the end of the day, the company said.
Customers who do not complete the transfer by the deadline will lose their wireless service and their phone number, according to the company. Boost is urging affected customers to visit any Boost or Liberty store in Puerto Rico before the end of the year to port their number and service.
“The transfer process is easy and simple when visiting any Boost or Liberty store across the island,” the company said, noting that in-store assistance is available to help customers complete the process.
Customers who transfer their number to Liberty will gain access to Liberty’s mobile network and product offerings in Puerto Rico. The company said transferring customers may also qualify for promotional incentives tied to the deadline.
“With Liberty, Boost customers will enjoy all the benefits the company offers with access to the best products, excellent service, and the best and most reliable mobile network in Puerto Rico,” the company said.
According to Liberty, eligible customers who complete the transfer by Dec. 31 may receive their first month free on plans offering up to 100 gigabytes of data, along with discounts of up to $400 on equipment purchases.
Boost customers seeking more information about the transfer process, available offers or store locations can contact Liberty directly or visit the company’s prepaid services website.
