Caridad expands to 50 pharmacies with Pharmamax integration
Farmacia Caridad has completed the integration of the nine Pharmamax pharmacies into its corporate brand, bringing the total number of Caridad locations across Puerto Rico to 50.
The company said the move marks a milestone in its more than four decades of service and reinforces its focus on accessibility, convenience and community-based care.
“With this integration, we reach a new milestone in our history,” said Víctor Curet, vice president of marketing and corporate development. “Today, we can proudly say that the 50 pharmacies that make up our network share one name, one vision and one commitment to Puerto Rico’s health.”
“This change reaffirms our promise to be closer to our communities, offering reliable, accessible service with the warmth and humanity that set us apart,” he added.
Although the Pharmamax stores were already part of the same family-owned organization, they will now operate exclusively under the Farmacia Caridad name. All locations have adopted the updated signage and brand image, reflecting the company’s unified identity.
Farmacia Caridad said the transition will not affect daily operations: Customers will continue to receive the same service from the same teams, with no interruptions to prescriptions or patient records.
The company added that the goal is to ensure continuity while improving the customer experience under one cohesive brand.
News is my Business previously reported that Farmacia Caridad expanded in 2024 with its acquisition of 22 former CVS Pharmacy locations in Puerto Rico.
