Puerto Rico new car sales dropped sharply year-over-year in October, when the industry sold 10 percent fewer units, the United Automobile Importers Group (known as GUIA by its Spanish acronym), said Thursday.
The Puerto Rico Association of Automobile Distributors and Dealers released the findings of a study Wednesday that reflected, among other data, that used car sales has been on the rise in the past decade, outpacing new vehicle movement.
Touting it as the “automobile industry’s highest-selling vehicle,” Toyota de Puerto Rico officials on Tuesday unveiled the 50th anniversary edition of its popular Corolla model, which showcases a refreshed look and new features.
