Puerto Rico consumer attitudes vary significantly based on two factors: where they live and who they live with, with sharp contrasts reflected between people living along the island’s eastern coast and the west, according to the results of a study commissioned by the Puerto Rico Marketing, Industry and Food Distribution Chamber (MIDA for its Spanish acronym).
Puerto Rico’s retail sector reflected positive year-over-year growth in March and April, when activity grew by 2.2 percent and 1.3 percent, respectively, Puerto Rico Trade and Export informed Wednesday.
Gov. Alejandro García-Padilla on Wednesday signed Law 545, known as the “Microenterprise, Small and Mid-Sized Business Support Act,” to support that sector of the Puerto Rican economy.
