The Community Development Venture Capital Alliance closed its 2025 networking series with an event in San Juan, bringing together founders, investors and entrepreneurial support organizations to share updates and discuss priorities for 2026.

The gathering marked the fourth and final session of the Angel Investor Insights Series, a quarterly convening designed to facilitate direct, focused exchanges between entrepreneurs and capital providers.

Throughout its four sessions in 2025, the series drew a total of 186 participants, averaging 33 attendees per event, a format intended to support relationship-building and potential investment activity, according to organizers.

“Fostering direct connections between risk capital and entrepreneurs is key to cultivating the next generation of local angel investors, driving innovation and supporting economic resilience in Puerto Rico,” said Gustavo Díaz, founder of Incentives Pro.

“We believe that CDVCA’s events and programming make this vital economic shift real,” he said.

The 2025 series was sponsored by Banco Popular de Puerto Rico and Incentives Pro. Organizers said discussions throughout the year focused on investment opportunities, growth financing and collaboration within Puerto Rico’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“Strong entrepreneurial ecosystems are built when the private sector, entrepreneurs and founders move forward with shared conviction,” said Kimberly Ortiz, senior program officer at Emprende con Popular. “By fostering collaboration and access to capital, we support sustainable growth and meaningful investment opportunities.”

CDVCA said the series benefited from collaboration with ecosystem partners including Grupo Guayacán, Parallel18, Endeavor, Carbono 3 and Project Makers.

As convener of the series, CDVCA has sought to strengthen links between capital providers and high-potential ventures. Since launching its Unlock Capital initiative, the organization said it has supported more than 60 startups in raising more than $14.5 million in growth financing in Puerto Rico.

The Angel Investor Insights Series is hosted by Ernesto Villarini, Emmanuel Loubriel, María Roberta Duarte, David Geeter and Lucciano Díaz.
