Grupo Guayacán marks 20 years of EnterPRize business competition
Grupo Guayacán says its EnterPRize program, described by the organization as Puerto Rico’s longest-running business competition, will mark its 20th anniversary with an event on Nov. 20 at the Urban Hub Plaza at Popular Center in Hato Rey.
The program, created in 2005, has become a platform for local entrepreneurs to develop business models and compete for seed capital. This year’s celebration and awards ceremony will bring together participants, mentors, investors and partners from across Puerto Rico’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Organizers said the event will review EnterPRize’s development over two decades and its role in supporting small businesses. An alumni marketplace will feature products from past participants, allowing attendees to meet company founders and see examples of ventures that grew from the program.
The 2025 competition includes 25 startups competing for more than $250,000 in seed capital awards. The ceremony will conclude the event’s agenda.
“Since its creation in 2005, EnterPRize has offered an innovative curriculum combining workshops, mentorship and personalized guidance with the opportunity to compete for prizes to accelerate business growth,” Grupo Guayacán said.
According to the organization, the program has supported 470 emerging companies and trained more than 1,000 entrepreneurs through its education and mentorship components, awarding more than $3.1 million in seed capital.
Registration for the event is open to the public.
