FirstBank brings back The Shop to Plaza Las Américas

Artis Lucerna is one of eight artist entrepreneurs participating in The Shop at Plaza Las Américas this year.

FirstBank for Business and ATH Móvil have relaunched The Shop at Plaza Las Américas, continuing an initiative designed to increase visibility and growth opportunities for small and midsize entrepreneurs in Puerto Rico during the Christmas season, the organizations said.

The retail space will operate through Dec. 24 on the mall’s first level, near the FirstBank branch entrance. The initiative combines an in-person showcase with a digital component intended to extend the reach of participating businesses beyond the shopping center.

Since its debut, The Shop has served as a platform for local entrepreneurs to connect with consumers during one of the busiest retail periods of the year. This edition introduces The Shop Online, which allows visitors to explore participating businesses digitally, learn about their background and access official channels to find out more about their products.

There are eight participants this year: Fani Boutique, M Boutique by Marieli Colón, Meraki Pinturitas por Yali, Naked Artisan Home & Body, Boceteo, Esto es PR, Headzflex and Artis Lucerna. Their products include clothing and accessories, art, fragrances, handcrafted goods and items inspired by Puerto Rican culture.

“At FirstBank for Business, we’re reaffirming our commitment to the development of local businesses and the creation of initiatives that strengthen Puerto Rico’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Lilian Díaz, executive vice president of FirstBank’s Business Group.

“As we reaffirm our continued support for Puerto Rican entrepreneurs, we’re providing them with a platform to enhance their visibility and growth, especially at a time as important as Christmas,” she said.

FirstBank is encouraging the public to visit both the physical space at Plaza Las Américas and the digital platform to support local entrepreneurs participating in the initiative.
