Fly The Whale to launch daily nonstop flights between St. Croix, San Juan

Fly The Whale, a U.S. Part 135 scheduled air carrier, will begin daily nonstop service between St. Croix’s Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) and Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan on Sept. 15.
The new route expands air links between the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, with three daily round trips. The flights are expected to serve leisure travelers, business passengers and patients traveling for medical care.
Flights will operate through Jet Aviation at SJU, allowing passengers to bypass the main terminal. A complimentary shuttle will connect travelers to the terminal for connecting flights.
Shane Reynolds, president of Fly The Whale, said the addition of San Juan to its Caribbean schedule will provide “greater convenience” for passengers.
The airline, which began service between St. Croix and St. Thomas in 2023, has carried thousands of passengers. The new route is expected to support tourism, business activity and health care access, company officials said.
