Friend’s Café opens 10th store in Aguadilla with $140K investment

Friend’s Café, a Puerto Rican specialty coffee chain, has opened its 10th location at the Aguadilla Town Center, marking another step in its ongoing expansion across the island.
The new café represents a $140,000 investment and spans 2,200 square feet. It will employ 15 people directly and create six additional indirect jobs, contributing to the company’s workforce of more than 100 direct and 30 indirect employees islandwide, company officials said.
“Aguadilla has always been part of our growth plans. It’s a vibrant community with a strong culture of supporting local businesses,” said Wilmer Ramírez, founder of Friend’s Café. “Being present in the Town Center allows us to connect with residents, visitors and professionals who travel daily through this key western neighborhood.”
Friend’s Café is known for its premium coffee, ceremonial matcha, seasonal beverages and sandwiches, and emphasizes consistency in quality and service. Employees are trained at the company’s internal development center, which focuses on brewing techniques and customer service skills.
“Every new store we open is an opportunity to continue building relationships,” Ramírez said. “It’s not just about serving good coffee but about creating spaces that become part of people’s routines and lives.”
The company said it plans to open additional locations in Bayamón, Western Plaza, Mayagüez and Juana Díaz as part of its continued expansion strategy.
