Gómez Hermanos launches first 5K with strong turnout

More than 620 people took part in Gómez Hermanos Paulson’s inaugural “De 0 a 5K” race at Escambrón Beach in San Juan, an event that combined fitness, family activities and a charitable cause.
The Sept. 29 course began and ended along the shoreline and included both runners and walkers. Proceeds and participation supported the recovery of Alejandra, the daughter of an employee who was injured in a pedestrian accident.
“We’re deeply grateful for the support received in this first edition of our 5K race. Each participant was not only part of a race, but also part of a movement of solidarity that reflects the best of our people and our team,” said Víctor Gómez III, president of Gómez Hermanos Paulson.
Executives said the turnout underscored the value of linking corporate initiatives with community needs. The company said it intends for the 5K to become an annual tradition “that strengthens ties with employees, their families and the wider community.”
