Goya marks ‘Goya Day’ as prelude to 90th anniversary
Goya Puerto Rico will celebrate “Goya Day” on Nov. 13, a company-wide tradition created to thank the island’s families, business partners and employees who contribute to the reach of its products in Puerto Rico and abroad.
This year’s observance carries added significance as it precedes the company’s 90th anniversary, which will be commemorated in November 2026, company officials said.
“Today is a day to say: Thank you, Puerto Rico! Thank you to every family that welcomes us into their home, to every customer who trusts us, and very especially to our employees, whose pride and dedication keep the tradition of the Goya family alive,” said Carlos Unanue, president of Goya Puerto Rico.
“As we approach our 90th anniversary of continuous operation, we renew our commitment to quality and service,” he said.
To mark the occasion, and in keeping with Puerto Rico’s festive season, Goya will hold raffles of turkeys and products through local radio stations and its social media platforms. The company will also carry out community activities as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts.
Through its “Goya respalda lo bueno,” or “Goya Gives” program, the company supports education, arts and sports initiatives that promote social impact across Puerto Rico.
