Guayacán Venture Accelerator marks 15 years with new format
Grupo Guayacán is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its Guayacán Venture Accelerator with a program redesign and a public exhibition highlighting alumni companies.
Since its launch in 2010, the accelerator has graduated 511 executives from 155 companies that together support nearly 12,000 jobs across Puerto Rico.
Laura Cantero, executive director of Grupo Guayacán, said the updated program will debut in 2026 with a renewed curriculum intended to meet the changing needs of business leaders.
“In celebration of the program’s 15th anniversary, we set out to refresh the offering to better address the evolving needs of our participants,” she said.
“This new format offers greater flexibility, allowing leadership teams to engage with a renewed curriculum that reinforces the program’s longstanding focus on growth,” Cantero said.
Cantero said the redesigned model will include a core curriculum for all participants along with specialized tracks focused on company-specific needs. The approach is meant to help established businesses refine growth strategies while continuing to emphasize leadership development and competitiveness.
To commemorate the milestone, Guayacán also opened an exhibition at Plaza Las Américas showcasing 15 alumni, including CEGsoft, Fusionworks, Al Chavo, Prime Air, Hacienda San Pedro and Álvarez-Díaz & Villalón.
The showcase, located between Macy’s and Caribbean Cinemas, runs through Sept. 28 before moving to Plaza Del Caribe in Ponce from Sept. 29 to Oct. 12.
Applications for the 2026 program are open.
