Hanky Panky takes over COA Bar at Dorado Beach
Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve will host a mixology collaboration Jan. 23, when COA Bar & Lounge welcomes the team behind Hanky Panky, a Mexico City speakeasy known for its influence on contemporary cocktail culture.
From 6 p.m. to midnight, COA Bar & Lounge will host a one-night takeover featuring Hanky Panky bartenders preparing a selection of signature cocktails. The event takes place at Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve, located along Puerto Rico’s northern coast, and is open to hotel guests, residents and visitors.
Hanky Panky has been regularly recognized among the World’s 50 Best Bars and is widely regarded for its technical approach to cocktail preparation and emphasis on narrative and balance. The bar was founded by Philippe “Pippa” Montoya and is known for maintaining a consistent style rooted in its original concept.
Admission to the event is $40 per person, plus taxes and fees, and includes one signature Hanky Panky cocktail paired with a curated selection of bites. Guests may continue ordering from COA Bar & Lounge’s menu throughout the evening.
Hotel representatives said the collaboration aligns with COA Bar & Lounge’s ongoing effort to position itself as a regional destination for cocktail programming. The venue has previously hosted guest appearances by La Factoría in San Juan and Café La Trova in Miami, both also recognized by the World’s 50 Best Bars organization.
“More than an event, Hanky Panky’s night at COA is a celebration of cultural exchange, innovation and exceptional drinking, framed by the legendary hospitality of Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve,” hotel officials said.
